French for Specific Objectives (FSO) courses

You need to quickly improve your French and become a leader in meetings, have a job interview in French to land your dream job, send well-formulated emails to your new clients, understand the cultural and social codes in the workplace, learn the professional language of a specific sector, or for any other specific need in French in professional or personal fields, this course is for you!

We will determine your goal together, and based on your level of French and the goal to achieve, we will establish your tailor-made program together.

I will take care of:

• creating a pedagogical path adapted to your level,
• gathering necessary authentic resources (documents used in the companies you target, questions typically asked in your field during interviews, videos, podcasts, etc.) to facilitate your learning,
• creating interactive and immersive lessons to optimize your motivation and concentration, and consequently facilitate your French learning,
• including simulations of real professional situations to allow you to practice in context .

This course will be adapted to your level:

• Beginner:

Although FOS (French for Specific Objectives) is generally associated with advanced language skills, it is possible to adapt the courses if you are a beginner by introducing basic language concepts and focusing on the skills needed to communicate in simple professional situations. We can focus on common expressions used in the workplace, writing simple professional emails, or participating in basic phone conversations.

• Intermediate:

FOS courses for intermediate learners can focus on the development of more advanced language skills, such as report writing, participating in meetings, or presenting projects. Lessons include simulations of real professional situations to allow you to practice your language skills in a professional context.

• Advanced:

If you are an advanced learner, FOS courses can focus on more complex language skills, such as negotiation, conflict management, writing detailed professional documents, or presenting business strategies. These courses aim to refine learners’ language skills so they can communicate confidently in demanding professional environments.

Note:

It is always possible to study a more complex theme (for example, conflict management in the workplace) with a beginner or intermediate level, and I will adapt it to your level. This will require a different approach and a more specific focus. This is the goal of FOS.
